Elizabeth Jane Hurley, an English model and actress who became famous during the 1990s as the girlfriend of Hugh Grant and a former English model. When the film of Grant Four Weddings and a Funeral received global media attention, Hurley accompanied Grant to the film's Los Angeles premiere wearing a black Versace gown with gold safety pins. The dress instantly earned the attention of media. Hurley's partnership in the company of Estee Lauder, a cosmetics producer, is regarded as the pinnacle of her career. Hurley's first modelling job was at Estee Lauder, when she was just 29 years old. She's been modeling since 1995 to promote their cosmetics, and in particular perfumes such as Sensuous Intuition or Pleasures. Her most well-known work is her part as Vanessa Kensington, in the popular spy-films International Man of Mystery (2007) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (2000). Hurley has been a model for and creates his own collection of beachwear. Perry's first attempts at becoming a mainstream superstar were unsuccessful. Two different record labels signed her but removed her from the market before she'd released any music. In 2007, however, Capitol Records put out Perry's EP Ur So Gay which attracted little attention due to its jolly flippant title track. I kissed a Girl - an ode of curiosity about sexuality - dropped a couple of months after. It featured a hard electro-pop sound and a strong position. It quickly sparked controversy as some critics derided its promotion of same-sex relationships and others charged that the sexually explicit scene that it depicted was a sly way to appeal to men's fantasies about sexuality in females. Nevertheless the combination of sensuality and polished music made I Kissed a Girl become the number one song across multiple countries, generating the album sales of the Boys (2008). Hot N Cold is a well-known second track. Perry also wrote a lot of the lyrics for the album.
